Otterburn Mill welcomes coaches and groups and offers driver and tour guide incentives.
Conveniently located just off the Main A68 route to Scotland, 25 miles north of Newcastle airport, and in breath-taking scenery, Otterburn Mill offers visitors a warm Northumbrian welcome.
The Mill has free coach parking and convenient drop off facilities. All facilities are on one level, making it wheelchair friendly.
The mill has a rich heritage, reflecting the rise and passing of the industrial revolution. The main mill buildings date back to the mid-18th century, when Otterburn was a thriving woollen mill. The mill is home to the world famous Otterburn Pram Rug, which was created in response to a request from Buckingham Palace following the birth of Princess Elizabeth (our current monarch).
The redeveloped site now boasts a large shop, selling an extensive range of Otterburn classics and outdoor brands, situated inside the original weaving sheds where visitors can view some of the mill’s machinery.
The Weaver Cafe can seat up to 100 people and serves hot and cold meals and refreshments. All facilities are easily accessible on one level. For those wishing to stretch their legs the Otterburn Village Trail starts and finishes in the car park at Otterburn Mill.
The perfect blend of shopping, heritage, scenery and refreshment.
